Yangon, formerly known as Rangoon, is still a relatively quiet and charming city. Its impressive colonial and spiritual heritage makes it one of the most fascinating and authentic capitals of South East Asia.
Today's morning tour includes visits to the National Museum, Kyaukhtatgyi Pagoda's 70m long reclining Buddha, downtown Yangon with its faded colonial atmosphere, Sule Pagoda, Mahabandoola Park, India town & Chinatown.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit the Bogyoke Market formerly name as Scott Market (closed on Monday and public holidays), before ending the day with a visit for sunset to the world famous golden Shwedagon Pagoda, a breathtaking and colorful sight visited by Buddhists from all over Myanmar.
