08:15: we start departing for Van Long known as the largest flooded Natural Preservation area in the North of Vietnam, which is just 15 Km from Ninh Binh city.
Upon arrival, we will take a short biking tour through rice paddies, poetic villages located along canals. Later on, we will stop by a village named Vuon Thi with friendly & hospitable peasants. Right here, you will have chances to learn how to catch fishes with very simple & traditional traps in canals. On working together with farmers, we will return a local family to hand on some typical cuisines for our lunch.
After having lunch, we will have a 30-minute-break & then keep biking to Van Long harbour to keep on discovering the fauna - flora & magnificent caves in this lagoon by bamboo boats.
At around 16:00: we will start going back Hanoi but on the way, we will stop by a very interesting handicraft village known as Duyen Thai, where is specialized in producing lacquer wares, painting & other decorative things.
At 18:30: we will be in Hanoi’s center. End of the trip.
